Warilda Spa by Denise Pinot is truly an oasis of calm in the greater Otway Region, located in Birregurra. Its not only offering a selection of professional, and unique treatments. Warilda Spa was also formed from the idea that people could come and stay over night in the old guest cottage, to enjoy several treatments and bathing rituals on each day of their stay. Denise Pinot is a former VIP Massage Therapist from Berlin. She started her career in 2008.
Her expertise, personality and professionalism are very well known overseas. She has treated politicians, sportsman and several stars from the Music and Film Industry. From Germany to Hollywood. Her understanding of service and care is out of the ordinary. She opened her first Spa in Berlin in 2014 after she designed her own custom made concept. She picked up her eye for design in all the luxury homes and hotels she was working in.
After she came to Australia, she started studying and graduated as an Interior Designer. When she found the place with her partner, she started dreaming of restoring the old chicken shed and potting shed. So the idea was born!
Warilda Spa is now known as a nurturing, warm and inviting space with features of the older days. The combination of a calming and surprising design and individual treatments, transforming this place into a boutique private spot to be.
Featured in the Australian Traveller as No.1 Spa in the Otway region and also in Ele Magazine in September 2022, the Farm & Spa become famous for its hidden boutique retreat and people book well in advance to get a single spot!
Much more earlier, in the year of 1920, early settlers came from Europe to Australia and settled on this farmland. They built the main house, a side cottage, which is today's guest accomodation and the potting shed, which is today's Spa.
The people named the property after the ship they came on. This was the hospital ship,
Warilda!
They never would forget it again!
The approach from Denise Pinot was to combine a design expertise with an authentic, luxury spa- experience to make the largest mental health benefit impact possible.
Where once was an old chicken shed, there is now a unique, secret little place to hide away.
